Clean water does not begin at the storm drain. It begins with everyday decisions at homes, businesses, parking lots, loading areas, and the waste enclosures behind local shops.

Secure Structure Alliance Inc. is inviting Temecula-area neighbors, business owners, property managers and supporters to participate in Adopt-A-Dumpster™—our nonprofit community program connecting practical stormwater education, private site observations, local sponsorship and carefully documented opportunities for improvement.

Why this matters

Rain can soak uncovered trash and cardboard and carry loose debris from poorly maintained commercial waste areas. Whether pollution reaches a storm drain depends on the specific conditions and drainage path. Education, containing waste, closing lids, repairs, and sound site management can all be part of prevention; no single solution is appropriate for every site.

Our first community effort centers on the Temecula area, where supporters can learn the issues, document observations privately and explore ways to help. We do not claim that a city has endorsed the pilot or that an observation automatically qualifies as a verified location or completed improvement.

How a charitable contribution helps

General donations to Adopt-A-Dumpster through Secure Structure Alliance can support environmental education, community outreach, volunteer coordination, private intake review, preliminary site planning and approved program operations. Site-specific covers, enclosures, repairs and other physical improvements require appropriate verification, property permission, funding and an approved scope. A donation does not guarantee a particular installation or environmental result.

Make a secure one-time or monthly Adopt-A-Dumpster donation. The program’s established giving page offers one-time preset amounts, a custom amount and monthly support through Stripe.

Businesses can sponsor, too

Business participation can mean supporting free education, outreach, a mapping challenge, local signs, or an eligible improvement project. Sponsor acknowledgments must remain factual and are subject to written terms, verification, applicable permissions and nonprofit approval. Sponsorship is not a municipal endorsement or a guarantee of measurable environmental savings.

Ways to help without donating

Money is not the only way to contribute. Share our free stormwater and wet-trash resources, ask a property manager about covering exposed waste, consider volunteering, or send a community observation from a lawful place. Photos and exact submitted details are handled privately according to program rules; public results are provisional until reviewed.
