Secure Structure Alliance is launching the next public-participation phase of Adopt-A-Dumpster™: Help Map America’s Trash System™.
TEMECULA 500 is our first community-mapping pilot. The goal is to build 500 verified observations of commercial waste locations in Temecula using a privacy-first, improvement-focused process.
The program is being designed around a simple idea: useful community observations can help cities, property owners, sponsors, volunteers, and residents better understand visible conditions around commercial waste areas without creating a public shame map.
What the pilot will test
- Simple mobile photo and location capture
- Short questions about rain protection, loose trash or overflow, and nearby drainage
- Duplicate and quality review
- Privacy-safe public mapping
- Mapper teams, missions, and community participation
- Verification of documented improvements over time
The first 500 observations are planned for manual review so we can learn what works before scaling the program.
