Adopt-A-Dumpster™ Municipal Pilot

A practical nonprofit pilot for community education, public participation, sponsorship, documentation, and measurable local engagement around commercial waste areas.

What the Pilot Is

Adopt-A-Dumpster™ can be structured as a defined local pilot in which Secure Structure Alliance works with interested municipal staff, community partners, sponsors, and participating properties to test a repeatable education and participation model.

The program is designed to complement public education and pollution-prevention priorities. It does not replace municipal permits, inspections, enforcement, MS4 obligations, property-owner responsibilities, or professional engineering/legal guidance.

Typical Pilot Elements

  1. Kickoff and local scope.
  2. Selection of a manageable pilot area or voluntary participant group.
  3. Business and public education.
  4. Sponsor recruitment where appropriate.
  5. Waste-area observations and documentation within the agreed nonprofit scope.
  6. QR and digital engagement tools.
  7. Public-support and participation tracking.
  8. Before-and-after documentation where appropriate.
  9. Summary reporting and lessons learned.
